SPX Radiodetection RD8000 PDL cable and pipe locator kit supplied with a Tx-10 10W transmitter. The RD8000 PDL supports active and passive locating modes, Current Direction (CD), and TruDepth depth indication. The Tx-10 provides selectable output power and broad active frequency coverage for signal application.
The SPX Radiodetection RD8000 PDL is a precision cable and pipe locator configured here with a Tx-10 10W transmitter. The RD8000 series is designed for locating buried conductive utilities using active transmitter-applied signals and passive survey modes. The PDL variant supports extended active frequency coverage and Current Direction (CD) functionality within the RD8000 range.
The Radiodetection Tx-10 is a 10W transmitter designed to apply traceable signals to conductive utilities through direct connection or induction methods. It supports selectable voltage output options and a broad active frequency range compatible with the RD8000 platform. The transmitter maintains constant current across its specified bandwidth and includes a multimeter function for measurement of voltage, current, impedance, and power.
When paired, the RD8000 PDL locator detects and processes the transmitted signal applied by the Tx-10. The locator’s digital signal processing platform provides visual and proportional indicators for line position and depth measurement, while the transmitter supplies adjustable signal output to support varying coupling conditions. Both instruments are constructed with injection-molded ABS housings and are rated IP54 for field environments.
