The Sonatest PMAP505045 is a 5 MHz shear wave angle beam probe with a 0.5" rectangular lead zirconate titanate crystal, engineered for high-performance weld inspection, flaw detection, and general industrial NDT. Operating at a fixed 45° refracted angle in steel, it ensures excellent sensitivity and resolution for weld toe, root, and fusion zone coverage.

This probe features a robust acrylic face, medium damping for good bandwidth, and is compatible with standard Sonatest wedges for various inspection geometries.
