Pomona 6235 SMD Microtip Test Probe Set

The Pomona Electronics Model 6235 is a two-piece SMD test probe set intended for precision probing of surface-mount device contacts. The set includes one red and one black test lead, each equipped with a curved stainless-steel microtip and stacking banana plug termination.

SMD Microtip Probe Design

  • Curved stainless-steel needle tip for access to densely populated assemblies
  • Flexible microtip construction to help reduce damage to SMD leads
  • Removable stainless-steel microtip with brass chuck

Electrical and Mechanical Construction

Each probe uses a 20 AWG PVC-insulated wire and a nickel-plated brass stacking banana plug. Insulated nylon and polypropylene components provide electrical isolation consistent with the stated voltage and temperature ratings.
