The Megger MOM3 is a battery-operated handheld micro-ohmmeter used to measure low resistance with a high-current DC test output. This unit is identified by the rear label as BK-30070 (R02D) and is supplied as a field kit with a hard carrying case, Kelvin clamp leads, a charger, and a USB cable.

MOM3 applies a selectable test current and measures resistance across a low-resistance path using separate current and sense connections. The instrument supports a selectable minimum current guarantee from 5 A to 300 A (valid at resistance ≤ 2 mΩ). The measurement range is 0 to 3000 mΩ with auto range selection, and the display resolution changes by range from 0.1 µΩ up to 1 mΩ steps depending on the resistance interval.

Rugged handheld format and power

MOM3 uses an internal Li-ion battery (19.8 Wh) and is specified with IP54 encapsulation for field handling. The instrument weight is specified as 2.5 lb (instrument only). The supplied charger supports mains input across 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and charges the instrument under the specified temperature limits. For PC connectivity, the instrument supports USB-C communication.
