The INNO Instrument IN-RS-40mm ribbon fiber splice protection sleeve is designed for protecting ribbon fiber fusion splices after the splicing process. The 40 mm sleeve length supports compact installation within fiber management trays, enclosures, and splice closures used in ribbon fiber deployments.

The sleeve incorporates a single ceramic reinforcement rod that provides structural support to the protected splice. A heat-shrinkable outer tube and internal adhesive liner secure the splice when heated, forming a sealed protective layer around the fusion point.

Construction and Materials

The sleeve uses a clear heat-shrinkable polyolefin outer tube with an ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) inner adhesive liner. During the heating process, the liner melts and bonds around the splice area while the outer tube shrinks to form a protective enclosure around the fiber joint.
