The Fluke Networks LinkIQ™ Cable + Network Tester qualifies twisted-pair cabling up to 10GBASE-T using frequency-based measurements and provides wire map, distance-to-fault, PoE diagnostics, and switch identification. Includes IntelliTone™ Pro 200 Probe.
The Fluke Networks LinkIQ™ Cable + Network Tester is a handheld instrument for qualification and troubleshooting of balanced twisted-pair cabling and verification of connected Ethernet switch information. It uses frequency-based measurements to indicate supported Ethernet data rates and provides distance-to-fault and wire map results for common copper cabling faults. This configuration includes the IntelliTone™ Pro 200 Probe and multiple Remote IDs for cable identification and port mapping.
The LinkIQ supports commissioning autotests across common Ethernet rates (including 10BASE-T through 10GBASE-T) and provides pass/fail results based on user-selected performance requirements. For fault isolation, the tester reports cable length and distance to conditions such as opens and shorts and can display pairing and wire map details to help identify miswires and split pairs. Test results can be saved on the unit and exported for documentation through LinkWare™ PC.
The LinkIQ performs nearest-device diagnostics using supported discovery methods (LLDP, CDP, and Fast Link Pulses) to report information from the nearest connected switch when available. Displayed results can include the switch name, port number, VLAN name, and advertised data rates and duplex settings. For Power over Ethernet environments, the LinkIQ supports IEEE 802.3af/at compatibility and can report PoE information and perform loaded measurements such as voltage and power to validate delivery under load.
Remote IDs are placed at the far end of installed copper cabling so the tester can identify and differentiate individual cable links during testing. This supports structured verification of patch panels and work-area outlets while reducing the need to repeatedly relocate the main tester between endpoints.
