YSI 556 MPS handheld multiparameter water quality meter with probe and field cable for dissolved oxygen, conductivity, temperature, pH, and ORP measurement.
Water testing in the field often requires more than one measurement at the same location. Dissolved oxygen, conductivity, temperature, pH, and oxidation-reduction potential must be collected with the same instrument and recorded with consistent time and date information. This handheld multiparameter meter combines those functions in one field instrument with a connected probe and onboard data logging.
The YSI 556 MPS is a handheld multiprobe system for water quality measurement. Manufacturer literature identifies the platform as a multiparameter handheld instrument with logging memory, RS-232 communication, field-replaceable electrodes, and a waterproof IP-67 case. The provided unit photos show a probe configuration with dissolved oxygen, conductivity, temperature, pH, and ORP enabled on the instrument screen.
Operation is handled through the instrument keypad and menu structure. The quick-start guide describes sensor enablement, report parameter selection, calibration routines, logging, and file upload. The included probe and field cable connect the handheld meter to the sensing assembly, while the transportation and calibration cup supports calibration and handling during routine use.
