The Waygate Technologies DM5E is a portable ultrasonic thickness gauge designed for fast, reliable corrosion monitoring and wall thickness measurement in pipelines, storage tanks, and pressure vessels. Engineered for harsh industrial environments, the DM5E delivers high stability and repeatability at both normal and elevated temperatures, making it ideal for oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation applications.
Paired with the DA501 Probe, this kit provides precise steel thickness readings-even through protective coatings-eliminating the need for costly paint removal. The DA501’s 5 MHz frequency and optimized contact diameter ensure dependable performance across a wide measuring range, supporting both standard and dual-multi echo modes for maximum versatility.
Ultrasonic, pulse echo measurement method
Depends on probe and material, 0.60 mm to 508 mm (0.025” to 20.00”) in IP to 1st BW measurement mode, 2.00 mm to 127.0 mm (0.079” to 5.00”) in dual-multi measurement mode, the coating thickness range shall be 0.3 mm to 2.50 mm (0” to 0.098”).
