Vivax-Metrotech vScan RX + TX Pipe and Cable Locator System

The Vivax-Metrotech vScan RX and TX system is a professional utility locating and avoidance platform designed to detect, trace, and document buried pipes and cables in active field environments. This configuration combines the vScan receiver with the vScan transmitter and includes factory-enabled GPS, Bluetooth connectivity, and metal detection mode to support both accurate locating and defensible documentation.

Locating Modes and Detection Capabilities

• Active locating using 33 kHz and 131 kHz signals when used with the included vScan TX transmitter.
• Passive locating modes for Power (50/60 Hz) and Radio signals.
• Metal detection mode enabled on the receiver for locating metallic covers and shallow metal assets.
• Compass-based line direction guidance with peak signal indication on the receiver display.

GPS, Bluetooth, and Data Management

This unit includes a factory-fitted internal GPS module and Bluetooth connectivity, confirmed by the receiver user interface. GPS enables location-referenced data capture, while Bluetooth supports communication with external devices such as high-accuracy GPS receivers. Integrated data logging records locate parameters with time and positional context, supporting quality assurance and reporting through the MyvScan desktop application.
