Hazardous-Area Entry Sealing for Ex d Enclosures

The Vega D5.1/2.N is an Ex d stopping plug with a 1/2-14 NPT male thread and nickel plated brass construction. It is designed to seal unused cable gland or conduit entries in Ex approved enclosures while maintaining hazardous-location certification and installation integrity. Flush external installation supports use where a sealed enclosure wall finish is required.

External Threaded Sealing with Flush Installation

- Seals unused cable gland or conduit entries in Ex approved enclosures to preserve enclosure integrity.
- Installs from the outside of the enclosure using an appropriate hex (Allen) key.
- Tightens into the threaded entry and sits flush with the outside enclosure wall when installed.
- Maintains the hazardous-location certification of the enclosure installation.

Thread, Material, and Protection Characteristics

- 1/2-14 NPT male thread configuration.
- Nickel plated brass construction for corrosion resistance and durability.
- Male thread length is 0.551 in (14 mm) with 10 mm socket across flats.
- Rated Exd IIC Gb and Ex tb IIIC Db IP6X under listed ATEX/IEC approvals.
- Ingress protection is IP66/IP68 and NEMA 4X with O-ring or non-hardening thread sealant; IP54 without O-ring or thread sealant.
