The Schaevitz R36AS is an AC operated Rotary Variable Differential Transformer (RVDT) designed for angular position sensing in industrial and harsh environment applications. Its non-contact electromagnetic design eliminates slip rings and brushes while maintaining accurate signal output proportional to shaft rotation.

Performance Characteristics

The R36AS provides calibrated angular sensing with factory calibration over ±30° and extended operation up to ±60°. Non-linearity is specified to ±0.5% of full range at ±30° calibration. The device supports continuous mechanical rotation (360° no stops) and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C.
