The LTT1792040 Air Blown Fiber Installation Tool is a class-leading solution designed specifically for Hexatronic Stingray Air Blown Fiber (ABF). This portable, lightweight tool offers unmatched installation performance, making it the ideal choice for fast, efficient, and reliable fiber optic installations in microducts. With the ability to install fiber units containing 1 to 24 fibers, it supports a wide range of network deployment needs, from small multi-dwelling units to extensive access networks.
 

Innovative Design & Operation

The tool features a robust body that guides and feeds the fiber unit into the microduct using a combination of compressed air and an electric motor. An adjustable magnetic coupling is integrated to limit the feeding force on the fiber, protecting it from damage in the event of a sudden stop. The electric motor is powered by a convenient Li-Ion battery pack located in the handle, and both speed and direction are easily controlled with a trigger switch. For added convenience, the trigger can be temporarily locked to maintain a steady speed during longer installations.
 
The Hexatronic LTT1792040 is designed exclusively for use with Hexatronic Air Blown Fiber, ensuring optimal compatibility and performance. Nozzles for 3/2mm, 5/3.5mm, and 7/3.5mm microducts are included, making the tool versatile for various installation scenarios.
 

Flexible Power and Air Supply

The tool is typically powered by dry compressed air, connected via a ¼” standard quick connector. For peak performance, an air flow of 80 l/min at a nominal pressure of 8 bar is recommended. However, for shorter distances, a smaller compressor or even a portable pressure canister with a reduction valve can be used. For very short runs (up to 50 meters), the integrated electric motor alone is sufficient, allowing for fiber installation without any compressed air.
