GE XL Vu 4.0mm Video Borescope with Stereo Measurement Configuration

The GE XL Vu 4.0mm Video Borescope is a portable industrial remote visual inspection system designed for internal examination of mechanical components, tubing, castings, and enclosed structures. This configuration includes interchangeable optical tips and stereo measurement capability, expanding inspection functionality beyond standard forward-view observation.


The system integrates a handheld display, joystick-controlled articulation, LED illumination, internal memory, and removable optical tip architecture. The 4.0 mm insertion tube supports inspection access through small-diameter entry points while maintaining maneuverability.


4.0mm Optical Tip Configuration

This system includes five interchangeable optical tips providing forward viewing, side viewing, and stereo measurement functionality. Each tip supports specific inspection geometries and working distances.

Stereo Measurement Capability

Stereo measurement functionality is enabled when using the stereo optical tips in conjunction with the included calibration block. This configuration supports dimensional analysis within inspected components. Measurement capability is configuration-dependent and requires calibration prior to use.


System Architecture

The XL Vu platform features a 3.7-inch VGA color LCD display, internal flash memory, USB data export, VGA video output, and integrated LED illumination. Probe articulation is controlled via joystick with Steer & Stay lock and Tip Home return functions. Image control features include digital zoom, brightness adjustment, and image inversion.
