Frequency-based detection of buried utilities in locating operations

Subsurface conductors require an applied signal and a receiver that can distinguish that signal from ambient interference. The Fisher TW9000-HC applies selectable transmission frequencies and detection modes to trace lines in both open ground and congested utility environments.

  • Signal application methods: direct connection, inductive, coupling clamp
  • Detection modes: Peak & Null, Wide Peak, Narrow Peak, Null, Sonde, Passive Power

  • Displays current measurement during direct and clamp-based tracing

The Fisher TW9000-HC provides visual and audio feedback during operation through digital signal processing. The receiver operates on a rechargeable 26650 Li-ion battery or two D-cell batteries. The transmitter uses a rechargeable 14.4 V Li-ion battery pack with selectable output settings.
