The Eaton C440-XCOM is a communication expansion module engineered to extend the functionality of Eaton C440 and XT series electronic overload relays. Powered by a 24 VDC supply, this module enables Modbus RTU serial communication over an RS-485 network and supports remote reset capability via a dedicated dry contact input.

Electrical and Communication Architecture

The RS-485 interface supports up to 32 devices on a single network segment, depending on wiring configuration and line polarization.
