Amprobe PRM-6 Phase Sequence and Motor Rotation Tester

The Amprobe PRM-6 is a phase sequence and motor rotation tester designed for verification of 3-phase systems. It indicates wire sequence and motor rotation direction for both connected and disconnected motors. The instrument supports testing in commercial and industrial electrical environments up to 700 V.

  • Synchronous or asynchronous motor rotation direction detection
  • Non-contact, wireless motor rotation detection on running motors
  • Indicates rotation of disconnected motors by spinning the shaft
  • Error indication for missing phase or incorrect neutral/PE connection

 

Electrical Performance & Safety

The PRM-6 supports phase rotation detection from 40–700 V (16–60 Hz) and 50–700 V (60–400 Hz) with nominal test current below 3.5 mA. Non-contact motor rotation detection operates across 16–400 Hz. The instrument is rated CAT IV 600 V and conforms to EN 61010 and EN 61557 standards.
