Allen-Bradley 20-COMM-R PowerFlex Remote I/O Network Adapter

The Allen-Bradley 20-COMM-R is a PowerFlex communication adapter designed to connect compatible PowerFlex drives to Remote I/O and DH+ networks. Installed directly into the drive’s DPI port, it enables network-based control, monitoring, and parameter access.

Remote I/O and DH+ Network Integration

  • Supports Remote I/O and Data Highway Plus communication
  • Configurable baud rates of 57.6, 115.2, or 230.4 Kbps
  • 3-wire Remote I/O terminal connection
  • Supports up to 32 nodes per Remote I/O channel

Drive-Level Communication Architecture

The adapter draws power directly from the host drive and operates as a DPI-based communication module. It enables discrete I/O, block transfer I/O, and parameter data exchange without additional external power supplies.
