ABB RDIO-01 Digital I/O Extension Module

The ABB RDIO-01 is a Digital I/O Extension Module designed to expand input and output capability in ABB drive systems. The module integrates directly into supported ABB control architectures and operates as a hardware option module.

Digital Input and Output Capability

  • Three digital inputs supporting AC and DC signal voltages
  • Two relay outputs for control and status signaling
  • Galvanic isolation between inputs, outputs, and power supply

Module Architecture and Integration

The RDIO-01 mounts into an RMIO option slot on the drive or onto an external I/O Module Adapter. Electrical and signal connections are made through a 38-pin parallel bus connector, with configuration performed using onboard rotary and DIP switches.
